Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministries
Each July I co-lead a Spirit Journey in Central Australia with East Arrernte traditional owner and healer John Cavanagh. In 2017, for the first time, a CSU student completed this as a unit within their Bachelor of Theology. These journeys are a practical expression of my deep commitment to walking with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples and together, develop a rich and respectful dialogue between Christian theology and Aboriginal land, lore and culture. My current and forthcoming research publications promote this oft-neglected intersection between theology and Australian public and political life.
