Join me in 2021 for a memorable few days in Central Australia on country for a “Spirit Journey”

Based in the heart of Alice Springs, two of the days / nights includes opportunities to learn about language, culture, land and spirituality from local Aboriginal elders and participate in workshops and reflection sessions on Aboriginal spirituality and Easte Arrente culture.

The on country component is a 3 night 4WD desert journey in Eastern Arrernte country with input and leadership from a traditonal custodian and senior elder. We will travel in a small convoy of 4WD’s meandering through breathtaking Central Australian desert landscape and stopping to experience the deep tranquility and spiritual connections that this remarkable country offers all Australians. Our host will open the country to us, sharing stories of both the Dreaming and of their families experience of growing up and working on land that has been incorporated into settler Australia but which remains Aboriginal. We will sit under the stars, camp in creek beds and around the campfire share our stories and reflect on our experiences. Together we will listen to country to hear the complexities of native title and pastoral leases, the traumas of mining and missions and the resilience and hope experienced on a land that restores and heals.
